Pitching Assessments
We have (3) different options when it comes to your pitching assessments. Please read the descriptions below to help identify which assessment is the best fit for your athlete. If you still have questions on the best fit, reach out to us any time and we will help make the best choice!
Pitching Assessment
(Throwing Mechanics Based)
Pitching and throwing mechanics-based assessment with BioSport Founder Brad Stillings. We take them through a pitching-specific movement screen where we test mobility, athleticism, and balance. Followed by med ball drills to identify power production and explosion. We then move to the mound where we look at throwing and pitching mechanics with a full Trackman pitch arsenal breakdown, and finish with a slow-motion video review where we sit down together and discuss strengths, weaknesses, and make our training recommendations. We scale our analysis and breakdowns based on age and level of understanding. This assessment is designed for any player ages 10-18+
Pitching Assessment
(Performance, Mobility, Muscular, & Skeletal Based)
Performance and movement-focused assessment with pitching development expert Bryce McMurray (creator: Medicine Through Movement on Instagram) Here, we will still look at your pitch arsenal and throwing mechanics, but we focus more on identifying movement and mobility concerns and areas that are holding you back. This option provides a deeper technical and in-depth movement screen and muscular analysis and helps identify more specific bodily weaknesses and pinpoints exactly where we are falling short.
