 FAQs

  • BioSport began as an elite training facility & biomechanics lab for baseball & softball athletes. However, our commitment to excellence has led to the evolution of being the premier location for all overhead power athletes, & volleyball players are no exception.

Volleyball seamlessly aligns with our vision of serving overhead athletes to unlock their fullest potential. Think about this - a pitcher wants to increase the speed of their fastball, while an outside hitter wants to increase the speed of their hits. Similarly, an outfielder wants to become faster with their first step to catch a fly ball, while a defensive specialist needs an explosive first-step to save a chaotic play.

In addition, baseball / softball & volleyball share common areas of injury - shoulders, low back, hips, knees, and ankles. A lot of the same preventative exercises will be beneficial for all three sports.

Also, similar physical qualities are trying to be enhanced, some of those being -

    • Increased rotational power

    • Faster reaction times

    • Decreased risk of injury to the above listed areas

One additional area that the Flight Club programs for is increased jumping ability. Being able to jump higher allows for more control when blocking, better serving ability, more options when going for a kill, etc.

What truly sets BioSport apart is the remarkable similarity in our training methodologies & philosophies between baseball/softball and volleyball. This convergence of expertise makes our facility truly elite, ensuring athletes receive the best possible guidance & training in their chosen sport. Trust us on your journey towards excellence – Train at the Lab!

  • We understand that no two athletes are alike, & each position in volleyball demands unique skill sets & physical attributes. That's why our training programs are meticulously tailored to cater to your specific position on the court, ensuring you receive the personalized attention you need to excel in your role.

Consider this: a back-row player may require a stronger emphasis on speed and agility to cover ground quickly & efficiently. On the other hand, a front-row player might need to work more on their vertical to dominate at the net.

However, we still commit to comprehensive athlete development. While we focus on position-specific training, our programs also include all the foundational elements necessary to cultivate well-rounded and resilient athletes. Strength, endurance, agility, and injury prevention are just a few facets of our holistic approach that contribute to your overall athleticism.

Our journey together starts with a personalized assessment, where we analyze your strengths, identify areas for improvement, and talk about your training history. From there, we start to create your individualized program, which we adapt and modify as needed.

We have the expertise and dedication to help you reach your goals. Don't wait any longer; sign up for your assessment today!

  • The first step is to come in for an initial performance assessment. The assessment takes ~45-60 minutes and includes a dynamic warm-up, several exercises / movements to determine strengths & weaknesses and some time at the end to ask any questions and discuss training options.

After completing the assessment, we will schedule individual onboarding training sessions. During the sessions, you will familiarize yourself with the training app, exercise names, speed & power drills, and learn how to appropriately pick your weights on exercises. These can be completed at your own pace, but it is recommended to do 2-3 sessions per week for consistency.

Once you have completed your on-boarding sessions, you have 2 options for continued training -

    1. Continue with Individual Sessions (30 minute or 60 minute)

    2. Join the “Flight Club”, my large performance group (up to 12 athletes per session).
